If you start it from a non-X terminal it won't complain about the lack of access to X windows but rather it'll just go ahead and kill every process that it can. Secondly, it requires access to X windows. First of all, it is very plain in its feature set. Yes, I tried multimon, but there are several problems with it. However, there is no usable POCSAG decoder for that platform. I've been running a Linux server a few years now and it seemed like a good idea to utilize that box for POCSAG decoding instead of tying up my workstation doing it. I have been wanting a permanent logging solution but there are two nationwide POCSAG frequencies in Sweden and at the time I only had one receiver and only one computer on which I could run POC32. ![]() I have been doing sporadic POCSAG decoding with POC32 since the year 2000 when I got my Icom IC-R10 Īt most a few days at a time.
